Ferrari Racing Days at Laguna Seca

Postby 2cam16 » Tue May 22, 2012 11:20 am

First time I've attended this event. Opted for it instead of my usual ALMS this year. Not bad, nice to see all sorts of Ferraris at one gathering. It's also nice when the crowd is about half of the larger events. More photo ops, less crowded. And as a "Tifossi" for years, it was so SWEET to see and hear an F1 car In PERSON. It was Rubens Barrichello's 2003 car. It's owner, Bud Moeller, is a very nice and accommodating guy. He didn't mind you entering his pit where the F1 car was parked and being worked on by the Ferrari mechanics from Italy. Very friendly with everyone and answered any questions you had. 458 Race in the afternoon was nice until a car crashed and flipped at T8 (Corkscrew). Race ended on yellow, driver was fine.
With that said, here are a few pics. The rest of the pics are here:

Someone caught that on video here:

He carried a lot of speed into that tire wall... Ouch...

Great pics, Rob!

Yeah, I found it when I got home from Seca. Unfortunately we were at T4 when that happened. Would have been a great photo op.
Thanks Logan!

Edit:
Hmmm, your pictures are way better than mine. I'll reconsider posting my pics
