What: NorCalRoadsters meet
Where: The Garret San Jose
When: 4/25 Wednesday
Time: 8 PM
Who: Everyone
Address:
1777 S Bascom Ave # E
Campbell, CA 95008-0635
(408) 559-7930

Time for another San Jose meet! It's almost as cold outside as our cars are cool, and The Garret is open late, so no freezing our asses off needlessly outside in the parking lot for hours...we'll do it because we want to, dammit!

So, The Garret. There's really only one thing you need to know about this place...

OK, they've got pizza and sandwiches and other stuff too. Bring out friends and OTMs, and let's do this!

I'm bored, so I'm posting this a week in advance this time. No excuses! Be there!

No, we'll probably just end up inside sooner rather than later.

Nothing out of the ordinary. Never hit anything, had a chill drive to the meet, but when maneuvering in the lot, it sounded kinda loud. Shut it off, turned back on when a few people showed up and it was a bit louder. Went to leave early and it was insane. No idea other than shoddy craftsmanship right now. Ill be pulling it off tomorrow to get someone to weld it up, so hopefully ill be able to see more of what caused it.

Not sure. The previous owner did everything, RB header, RB muffler, and this mid-pipe with a high flow cat.

If this cant be properly welded back together, i may try and have them chop the cat out and install a delete pipe for the time being. If not, anyone know who makes a good midpipe with highflow cat unit? I'd go RB, but it doesnt have a cat or even an o2 sensor bung. I need something civil and that will pass smog.

Thanks. My 99 passed with this highflow unit, but its a non-CA car, so it only ever had just one cat. I dont know if that affects the numbers that are required of the car to pass.

If you're that concerned when it comes smog time let me know and I'll pre-test it for you for free to verify it will pass. Just hack the exhaust off, it sounds better anyway :)

Just went to my local shop. Their welding guy isnt in yet  so i guess i am SOL for my first class of the day unless they call me back ASAP.

btw, having a motorcycle license is awesome, but i think it might have been funny seeing me as there were two 'large' exhaust pipes coming out of my backpack.

Good to meet some of you guys last night. Hope to make the next one when its not raining.

Sucks about the exhaust Alan. Shouldn't be too expensive to get welded up.
