GSL-SE -- turn signals, drivers side don't work

Postby neofreak » Sun Jan 04, 2015 6:03 pm

Doesn't work with the hazards either, so I suspect it is not the switch. The passenger side works while both signaling and the hazard switch; so probably not the flasher.

I changed bulbs.

Any ideas?

Both front and rear are non-operational? What about the cluster indicator, does that work?

Fuse? Have you tried using the turn signal and the hazards at the same time?

I'm not sure what I did, but I got the signals to work, but the drivers side hazard lights still don't work. At least I can drive it now.

According to the '84 wiring diagram (and assuming '85 is the same, if that's what you got, since you like to be cryptic...), the only thing I see that could be a problem here would be the hazard switch itself, or a connector somewhere.

I'll ask again, does the cluster indicator work? And both the front and rear lights are not working, correct?

Put a meter on the Green/Red wire coming out of the hazard switch, that's the output for the left side signals.

Yeah, 84/85 are the same.

The indicators work when signaling (as do the lights now), when using the hazard lights, only the passenger hand side blinks. (front and rear).

I'm thinking it's the hazard switch too, apparently they are flakey on this car.

Actually, I'm finding that the whole switch should be taken apart and cleaned -- that could explain why I'm getting random results.
