You WANT some ATS DTC comp lite 15x8 +30's

Postby minime » Mon Jul 15, 2013 11:04 am

I am trying to talk Brian Goodwin into importing these again. I will buy at least one full set, probably two, but he might need a few more folks to prepay given the small profit margin due to the exchange rate+shipping. If anyone is interested let me know. Not sure on pricing, but last time they were ~ $200 per wheel so count on that as the target price, but it might be a bit higher.

I love the look and the offset - +30 is perfect IMO. You won't rub the inside of your suspension like some do on the 6UL's, especially with a lot of -camber up front and they fill up the fenders mo betta as well. My car has rolled fenders front and rear and they are perfectly flush with no rub, ever.

Thanks for the heads up, but they sold a while ago per the OP. I just got 2 more compliments on these wheels, my brother said "wow, those are badass". I would love to pick up another set or two so I could have spares.

I really love the offset of the wheels too: +30 is perfect - no suspension/rollbar clearance issues and with 225/45/15 tires I have ZERO rub. Yes, I rolled my fenders, but I didn't really do a pull on the fronts and I am still running a very conservative -1.7 front camber. They fill out the fenders a lot better than +36's which means I could definitely use a side fairing to help airflow avoid hitting the rear tires, but whatever. I never had issues with rub on track even when I was running -2.25 front camber and sub 12.25 front ride height and bouncing off the burms. I was also running Hoosier racing slicks which were much more square and had about an inch wider tread contact patch than street tires(even compared to RA1's) - no rub, just a big FAT meaty stance :hump:

Quite interested. Been a fan of these wheels for some years, but they're pretty damn rare. I think I've only seen one set of these being sold ever since noticing them (at least 5 years now).

So with a 15x8 +30 offset, rolling of fenders is all that's needed to prevent any rubbing?

Hopefully this thread is still alive.

Yeah, roll front and rear, but a slight pull on front(if you have an NA) is good too. I never had any rub issues with mine, even when I ran Hoosiers which were about 3/4" wider than my current BFG Rivals(same 225/45/15 size).

They are not as light as some of the 15x8's available, but they look better than most IMO. I never got compliments on my polished 6UL's, but I have gotten several compliments on the ATS's.

I think right now the exchange rate and shipping really leave any room for vendors to make a profit, but I would be willing to pay $250 per wheel. I think GWR sold them for $190 each(plus tax/shipping).

$250 would probably be out of my league. I currently have 15x7 SSR Type C and I keep them on because of the relative rarity, ease of cleaning, decent looks, and ~9.5lbs bragging rights. However, like you said, the DTC's added 1" width fills up the wheelwells VERY nicely. If I did buy the DTCs, I'd most likely reuse my current 205/50 S.drives on them.

Please keep this thread updated; if the price is good enough I'll seriously think about selling the SSRs and getting some new shoes!
