I drove this:

Because I got tired of driving this. It's fine and all, but it's boring...

Not the actual car pictured. I'm not bothering to take pictures of a standard Ford Fusion Hybrid.
Going on 2 weeks without my Mustang...

driving my drift car/track car/hoon car. Might sell it soon though... looking for a platform that I haven't previously owned.

Been driving a 2018 F250 super duty crew cab 4X4 with a 6.7 powerstroke for the last several days. I think the Dodges drive better, but the powerstroke has better power delivery down low. It rallies in the dirt pretty good, too.

Today's vehicle is a 2018 land rover evoque. It's as lame as you think it is.

Ugh, smog...I feel your pain...

Update on the rover...it's fucking fantastic on the rally road. I've never actually had the opportunity to do that in an AWD vehicle before, so I don't have any basis for comparison on that, but this thing rotates quite nicely, and powers out of corners pretty well also. SO much fun. Makes me want to do rally for real.

Rolla is running better, so only 75% bus pass now!

Time to sell it before I sink more money into it and it breaks anyways. It’s like I’m living the rotary life, only with less hot fire.

I've been driving the S exclusively for the past 3 weeks, save for a few short stints in the urq. My strong preference is still switching cars every few days so I really miss that aspect of my life. CGT is still i Oregon getting put back together, T is working on the NB, and the BGT is now getting everything Lucas pulled out of it and replaced.

Driving my thunderbird today, but not because I wanted to...

(Not that I dislike driving it. Quite the opposite, actually. My truck seems hellbent on making me go buy its replacement sooner than I wanted...)

The rental car du jour.

They asked what I wanted, and I asked for the biggest car they have. I was hoping to get the Flex again. Apparently it was either this or a Nissan Versa...

Anything is better than a Versa. Worst rental I've ever had.

Same here. I got stuck with one once, and it was such an absolute misery pit in every conceivable way.

A third to that experience. The Versa with a CVT is such a horrifically dull pile of shiitake mushrooms.

I'll join in on the POS Versa rental experience too. Surprisingly terrible going up alpine and down page mill.

Ok, so not at all surprisingly terrible, but I may have managed ~50 mins from 1 to 280, even with getting badly priused on alpine.

On a better note, my truck is no longer being stupid. Helps to have the correct amount of fuel pressure...

Today's shitty rental experience is a 2017 Tahoe. Terrible handling (duh, but kinda scarily so), slow as hell, can't do a brakestand on dry pavement, shitty throttle response (and inconsistently so), plain awful on the rally road, used diaper hidden inside the third row seat.

Got to drive a Model X today. not a fan of the auto brake feature nor the fact that you can't coast.

Tahoe didn't wheel too great, either. No 4lo option makes it super lame.

That's a settings thing, if you turn off regen, it'll coast. If memory serves, anyway...I might be thinking about the option to turn on/off creep at low speeds, simulating a slushbox gas car in drive at idle.
