Yeah, three of them have been bent for a while, but a few weeks ago when I brought the car in for tire rotation, they pointed out a crack on the inner lip of one of them. Wheels America told me they would not recommend repairing it. Since buying one new RPF1 and repairing the other three would be just as much as the set of wheels I just bought, I'll just be selling the other three to someone for pretty cheap.

Finally got these mounted last weekend. They're the same size as the RPF1s (18x8.5) but the offset is 45 instead of 40, so I'm running a 5mm spacer up front to keep them away from the struts. I have 5mm spacers for the rear too, but the wheel studs aren't long enough... Which is pathetic... I'll be getting ARP extended wheel studs when I feel like dealing with it.

Anyway, here's some crappy cell phone shots from after I cleaned the thoroughly browned tires.

Thanks! I do think the RPF1s were a lot more unique for this car, and I'll kinda miss them. I'm thinking of possibly repairing the 3 salvageable ones, buying a new one, and mounting them to the Volvo.

They look real good and unique as well. Even though they are the same size as the RPF1s, these seem to visually fill out the wheel wells more.

Thanks! I know what you mean, and it seems to look the same in person. I think it has something to do with the way the spokes extend all the way to the lip, whereas the RPF1s have a lip that is distinct from the spokes. It gives it the appearance of larger wheels.

Just passed smog for the first time since the engine was apart. It was the first time I've had just the plug in test done. Sure was easy, but more expensive... Probably worth the extra $$$ though, since I kinda doubt it would pass the sniffer......

Not exactly how I expected to end this project thread. I guess those who called dibs on the motor will have to wait til it shows up on Craig's list.

Sorry if the image is obnoxiously huge. I'm on mobile and I can't resize it.

Holy fuck. Considering what they did take, I'm surprised at what's left.
I hope these scumbags get what they deserve... which would be to shit their entire digestive tract out their mouth. Yes, I said shit.

Dude that sucks so much! im surprised that they took that much from it. I guess LS motors pull a premium a month before formula D? where did they find the carcass?

I mean what the fuck else will they use the parts for? logically... sideshows or drifting or drag racing. chances are it will end up as a 240 drift car, a fd drag car or an old school camaro sideshow car. This is probably the unfortunate truth,
