Logan - '06 Pontiac GTO

Postby Scandinavian Flick » Mon Jan 17, 2011 6:26 pm

Edit (3/1/2012): Since I guess I need to face the fact that this is now a project car, and I have a lot of mods lined up, I'm changing the title and moving this to the Projectz section.

So I had been thinking for a while about a replacement for the BMW. It is getting up there in miles, and I needed something more practical. I had a bunch of cars on my list, but what it came down to was practicality, usefulness and reliable familiarity.

I already know Volvos, I felt the need for an SUV type vehicle, but couldn't bring myself to actually buy one. It's nice and low key, and comfy for the daily commute. Here are some shots from the dealer listing:

Then I said "fuck that shit" and bought this:

Nice Logan. Congrats! Talk about extreme thoughts....from a "mommy" Volvo to an Aussie muscle car.

Thanks everyone! :D

Hey, Ken, :fu:

It's been a lot of fun. Almost too much fun... It's an '06 with the 6.0L LS2, and it is now on the RPF1s from my BMW since they are the same size, bolt pattern and offset. Also 11lbs lighter each than the heavy ass stock wheels. Almost popped a disc getting those damn things off there...

Are you saying that Logan needs a midget sidekick, or are you saying that he needs a midget version of himself for a sidekick?

Actually, I'm happy for you brohiem. Now take the BMW out to I-5 and light it on fire just above the fuel rail. Burn it to the ground, let the insurance cash you out.

Thanks, man. I think I will pass on the even higher insurance rates though. :-P

Full coverage due to an auto loan is a bitch...

On the plus side though; the dealer only charges $75 for an oil change on this car, versus the $385 the crack smoking BMW dealer wanted... That's about the same price I can get the supplies for myself, so I think I will let them take care of it for me and take the included system reset and inspection.
