Do you still have hyperflash with your LED+TSI? I fixed mine by modding the flasher unit itself. Took a long time to figure out what to do, but the change itself is very easy.

Still doing hyperflash. I kinda like it as it makes the Miata more "visible". :)

Had Jojo put on the Adrenaline ladder brace while doing an alignment today. Let's see if it makes a differences.

The ladder brace dips about 1 inch lower than tha frame rail. But since my car is not really lower, it seems to be alright so far. Jojo said it is pretty close to the exhaust, so I'm expenting some noise on a big bump/dip as the exhaust might hit the brace. After driving through SF and Oakland's uneven roads, I can say it gets rid of some of the chassis twists (opposite corner types). It ties the front and back chassis pretty good, as it gives a more solid feel for the chassis. I can feel the suspension working to absorb the bumps. Turning feels a little bit sharper. The effect is not as great as putting on the sway bars, but they are there if I look for them. The FM butterfly/frame rail kit would definitely be much much better as it tie up the chassis instead of the subframe. I'm happy with it as it pretty much completes my suspension / braces. :)

While digging up the rear splash guard, I found a can of Tamiya smoke spray. So I tinted my front side lights to match my front turn signal lights.

Image

While I found the rear splash guard, I used template and cutter and hacked up the rear splash guard to fit with the rear R-package lower air valance. Not the perfect cutting job, but it fits find and sit flush with the 15x8 6ULs. :)

Added a set of front mud guards today. Got tired of waiting for a set of used one shows up so decided to just get a new sets. Hopefully it won't scrape anything. Now I just need a flare of some sort in front of the rear wheels and I'm completely happy with the exterior of the car. :P

Jeff

I'm not much lower than stock, and yet I still scrape them now and then. Doesn't show up if you keep them unpainted, though.

I think you did it wrong if you installed "front" mud guards in the rear. :fart:

I tried to get both front and back mud guards from the back but the front didn't quite show up right. :P

Just be careful with those front mud guards. Though you shouldn't have to worry too much since I'm much lower than you are. Speed bumps chewed up a good chunk of my front.

Now you just need to retouch up the black paint on your hardtop.

hmm... carbon fiber wrap huh? Interesting... I actually check the price for wrapping the hardtop when I have my windshield done, the guy quote me around $300-$400 because of the shape/curve of the hardtop, so pretty much up there as painting it. Beside, the hardtop is pretty much my signature now. hahaha....

Finally got a chance to install the TopLoc. One of the front latches on my hardtop had a broken guide and the plastic "pointy" guide was cracked, so I was looking for a replacement latch the past week and eBay came through with a full set for $20.50 shipped. Took the Spec Miata plates off and then took the whole hardtop off (3rd time since I got the Miata, :P) to scretched the soft top and clean it and the area a bit.

Image
OMG !!! Topless... :P

Got all the latches installed and properly adjusted them, then the TopLoc.
Image

Pretty beefy lock and I purposely picked purple to be more noticable (kinda match my brake level). One minor thing I noticed is the seatbelt might cover it when retract. After the latches are back on, I noticed the road noise is reduced dramaticly. It must have been because the hardtop is clamped down instead of bolt into place with the spec plates. Another thing I noticed is as soon as I undo the side spec plate, the windshield lump disappear. If I ever go back to the spec plate, I will put spacer between the spec plate and the hardtop. I think tighten it against the spec plate squeeze the hardtop on the side thus pushing the hardtop up to create that gap at the windshield. Another thing I noticed is the car feels a little less solid compare to the spec plate, but will need to drive more do find out. I also took out the support for the Mazdaspeed bar as it is not attached and is push against the soft top glass. Hmm... what should I hang off those empyt mounting holes? hehehe... :D

Jeff, should've let me know! I have like 3 sets of latches I would've just given you. I wanted the purple toploc too but they sold out, and I'm broke. =(

You should just do a soft top delete since you rarely ever take your hard top off anyways.

Doh... oh well, it was still a pretty good deal. For real that they are out of the purple one? I would think that is the least popular color and most people would go for clear/silver or black.

I'm still holding out for that spur of the moment that I would take the hardtop off. I would go soft top more if I'm not living in Oakland and my car is not park on the street.

Since I can't make it to Martin's tech day today, I decided to have a mini one myself by installing the KG Works classic interior rear view mirror. It was a short 10 minutes tech day. I didn't know the stock rear view mirror is just a clip on, so that took me a good 8 minutes to take it off. It was out of a spur of the moment that I just yanked it off and it worked. It dropped the mirror down a bout 1" so my Mazdaspeed bar is not blocking the top of my rear mirror view now.

I just put on the Tetsuya Garage stickers, I figures I'll take a few shots of all the stickers I have in my car (mostly on the hardtop).

Last but not least, the NCR sticker.
