Ok so it's been a while since I updated...

Since last time I have:

1) Put on nickel 15x9 6UL's with 225/45-15 Hankook RS3's

2) Remounted the drivers side Corbeau so it's about 1.5" lower and put in a foamectomied passenger seat (wife isn't tall enough at 4'10" for the other Corbeau to be safe with harnesses).

3) Removed a/c and power steering (weight savings of 40lbs so far, haven't removed the pieces inside the cabin yet)

4) Test fit the intercooler, should be an easy mount despite the fact it's from a 99-00 kit

5) Changed out the radiator... twice. Now has a PWR 37mm unit in it.

6) Re-cornerweighted and aligned the car... my offset upper front bushings appear to be causing me to have to run more caster than I'd like at the camber I want. It's a little heavy at low speeds/tight corners but not unmanageable.

7) Bought a really nice buffer and did the front of the car... tomorrow I may do more, hopefully the rest.

I know... hurry up and turbo the damn thing!

These are Inconel... the Pandorans won't let us mine any more Unobtainium.

Despite working stupid hours and on weekends the last couple months I finally had a Saturday off (we're taking ~20 cars to Monterey Historics this year... enough the track is providing us with a huge tent). I managed to squeak in some work on turbo bits today... drilled/tapped the manifold for Andrews lovely 10mm Inconel stud kit, drilled the turbo to 10mm holes, and painted the intercooler for a bit more stealth.

Here's the pics...

Also picked up an MSPNP, a 3" Enthuza cat/exhaust, and an M-Tuned coolant reroute in the last couple months...

Don't start cheering just yet... it's not installed.

Hopefully work will chill out a little after Historics so I can actually stand to be there on my off hours.... course I'll still have to install the whole thing on my own.

You might want to check the lock and c-clip fitment on all of the nuts with the turbo on the manifold. I had to grind down the side of two of the locks to get them to fit with the older, smaller nuts. In the end I went with resbond and these 12mm socket sized nuts because I had to unbolt the turbo to remove the downpipe multiple times.

I'll see how they fit with the stage 8 locking stuff... if it doesn't want to fit we have those nuts (like 034 sells) at work for use on the odd race car that has metric hardware.

Lol funny you should mention that... We're moving to a new place as of the 1st. From our stupid apt to a house WITH A GARAGE! Still just a rental, but a big improvement.

Looks kinda like this:
Image

Image

House is kinda small (about 900sq ft) but still around twice the size of the apt. Garage is 23.5'x23', and no one can tell me "oh he can't help you, too much liability"

So while I expect some delay while moving occurs... from then on I can work any time I want not just when/with whom my boss decides it's ok.
