Oh, how I used to lust after those when they were new.
Electric steering! Boost! Almost 30k brand new.

Other than that, no idea. It's a Toyota?
Early predecessor to the Exige with regards to the power plant?

Doesn't share it's engine with an '86 Toyota Camry, unlike the first gen models?

I've been eyeing them on craigslist lately, I can't imagine SW20s getting any cheaper, they've definitely been at the bottom for a while now. Couldn't hurt to get one and see if you like it. Flip it if you don't for no loss.

If it was made illegal for me (and only me) to own/drive/use a Miata the 2nd gen MR2 would be a top contender for value priced track day toy. Reasonable availability of cars/parts and performance stuff. And it's cute.

But my new dream car garage car project would be to take a first gen and turn it into this, the 1 of 1 Toyota 222D Group B prototype. With box flares!

I'd prolly opt for a 1st gen for the track.

First gen Group B-ized in tarmac rally setup for the track. That's the ticket right there.

I love the 4a-ge. It's my favorite engine that I've owned this far.

The 3S-gte is known for being bulletproof and responds well to mods. Still sounds good two. Unlike everything else they make now.
