any local (south bay) shops selling braided hose

Postby orion4096 » Fri Aug 08, 2014 8:55 pm

Are there any local shops (south bay/near Sunnyvale) that sell braided hose and are open on the weekend? I need 2-3 feet of -10an braided hose without hose ends with preferably 9/16 ID. Has to be good for 300F and 100+ psi. Eaton and Russell both have stuff that works. It's for power steering return line. The autozone rubber stuff kinks.

I used to go to goody's speed shop for this last minute parts, but they closed down. :(

Pep Boys seems to have gotten into the actual-speed-parts business. I know the one in San Carlos has AN stuff, but I don't remember exactly what because that stuff is too baller for my needs right now...

Bummer about Goodies.... I was going to suggest Vic Hubbard if you don't mind driving up to Hayward but from the recent yelp reviews they seem to be going downhill as well.

There's Gotelli Speed Shop in SSF - they cater to drag racers so should be AN stuff stocking. Open Saturday. http://www.gotellispeedshop.com/

So I did some Net hunting and Pep Boys in San Carlos asserts they have -10AN hose in stock.

No information at all on the web page as to size but the Russell part number matches this -10AN hose at Jegs

Thanks for the help. I went to the Sunnyvale Pep Boys this morning and they had some braided hose in stock that will work. Having not been to a Pep Boys in 2+ years, I never would have thought they'd stock this kind of stuff. Found it in the aisle next to the one with all the blinged-out chrome shit.

Everyone gets a gold star. Now back to making a bracket to fit the OEM Mazda pump onto my FD:
