Also because I need a mental bump that I need to buy a Giulietta Sprint (but not this year). And you can enter the California Melee with it and I can be your riding mechanic. Because 16 hours of Alfa wrenching per 8 hours of Alfa driving.

Track only car? I thought you wanted a streetable car so you can drive the Streets of San Francisco like you're darn Michael Douglas.

If there isn't anything he isn't disclosing, I'd guess it's a fairly honest seller with realistic expectations of the fairly small market for a non-street-legal car, combined with a short timeline for selling it due to a move. Also, 11 years as a track bitch? Ehhh.... Could be a good catch for someone looking for that particular car, but like Bill said, I thought you wanted something streetable?

You've got a point there. I didn't notice cause I immediately dismissed it.

I can't actually find any info on availability, so I'm not sure if it ever came with one from the factory, but the listing does say that one is a swap.

IIRC, 4-speed Trans Ams were only available with the Pontiac 400, which that is not (should be an Olds 403, it definitely looks like an Olds engine). California cars required the 403, hence the need for a swap. You can tell the difference without popping the hood - 400 cars say T/A 6.6 on the shaker, and 403 cars say 6.6 litre. Or at least they're supposed to.

Yeah the bricklin is a pos and the panels don't fit right from the factory. And it's unreliable and it's overall of poor quality they do but outs all day and the pneumatic gulwing doors make it a talking piece no matter where you are. I have a customer with one and he swears by it. I say he's crazy. Back to the Porsches!

My MG will never go that fast. So far I've topped it out at a disturbingly scary ~85mph (despite my speedo reading 105mph), I basically kept up with traffic on 280.

In the pan-NCR effort to help Martin decide on a Porsche, here is more video indicating the right car choice.

Yes, it's the Swiss Masters Rallycross C final race in Division 2 from 1991. (OK it was on Jalopnik)

What can we conclude?

1. Don't get a 911. You'll be slower than a Celica and then you will crash.

2. Get an Audi.

Since you have accomplished Step 2 already, our work here is done...

Hmmm I've always wanted a 91' 90 20vq, my old 93' 90s had the lowly 2.8 V6. Great car, but not as great as the 20v.

I don't think you can get any closer to buying a brand new "real" Porsche.

Would you consider a Singer to be a "real" Porsche? 'Cause I'd say that's closer to new, once finished.
