(vandalized) NA6 camouflage paint ... yah or nay ?

Postby GPZrider » Sat Aug 29, 2015 12:00 pm

So, here’s what I found a couple of nights ago, when I got off the work and came to my car.

FYI, this is not the first time, and (unfortunately) will not be the last time.
There’s some sick individual who has been doing this to my car, over the years.
The last time was about a couple of years ago. As a result, pretty much all of the body panels of my Miata are scratched up.

So, I came up with the idea of doing camouflage paint. Easy to touch up, easy to hide all the damage when it happens in the future. (It will.)

I did the quick google search and found some image.
Which one do you like ?

I am a bit worried, though. If I cover up all the scratches with camo paint, next time it may be cut up tires or soft top, or smashed wind screen instead of scratched up body panel ...

Any idea why this is happening? Any possibility of parking near a surveillance camera so you can catch the person doing it? Given the cost of repair at a shop someone could be in serious trouble if caught.

As for camouflage, I like the first picture best.

I would go with a surveillance system before I'd go with a gaudy camo paint job.

Buy a camera to place in the car to catch them. Shit even a hunting night vision camera would be cheap. Place it on a tree next to your car. Then turn the footage in to the police, or man up and kick the fucking shit out of said person. At least, that's what I would choose to do.
