Indeed. Such a huge improvement, it seems faster than it probably actually is.

I just drove the GTO to work after 2 weeks of driving the BMW. Feels good to be back behind the wheel of that thing.

Just put a new starter on the Miata and I found the source of my hard/slow start problems from my old starter via a wonderful sticker on it that read: "Made In China" I HATE Chinese car parts, they suck balls.

I just refinished my old school modular Ikea desk. Earlier this year I chopped it to my liking (shorter and smaller desktop specs). At the same time I put on a thin lightweight pine top but just now finally got around to finishing it.

The top is refinished in full gloss Bombay and the frame has been resurfaced down to just metal. That whole industrial loft design direction etc. See pics. Pardon the cheesy filters, I applied them to exaggerate the metal texture.

Oh, and yesterday I bought one of these to replace the Miata:

This is the brand new 7th gen 2015 GTI with le DSG (those things are T I T S). 258 ft-lbs of torque, slightly over 3k lbs. Planning to tour up and down the coast in this little guy.

Nice work on the desk, and congrats on the new ride!

It's going on 3 weeks of this slowness, with occasional times of normal, usually in the morning and evening. Right now it's taking about 30 seconds to load a page, which has been typical. If you can figure anything out about why it's like this, it would be very much appreciated.

Yup still slow, but i waited and waited because I couldnt just let FB fans see the epic P1 I saw today. This is #2 in 2 days, saw a dark purple (dont know the name) P1 headed on Highway 1 yesterday , this was on 17.

I think i may have just **** my pants as I came up on it. Had a GPS looking antenna on the roof, so maybe he drove it all the way from NY? He looked chinese, so maybe a tracking device for shipment...?

Probably going to the numerous events in Monterey? Maybe going on the block?
Yup, the site is back to it's slowness. At times I just give up and try visiting later in the day. :(

A little bit late but I haven't been visiting since the forums were running slow. But from last Saturday.........
I just watched my daughter (who is a Keeper/Defender by trade) play out of her element as a Forward on her soccer team and score twice, including the game and tournament winner. One vs. the San Bruno team and the other vs. a visiting German girls team, FSV Westerstede. She may never have this chance again. lol
Sorry, proud Dad here. ;)

the site is currently pretty slow for me now. I have had a few fast visits over the last week, but for the most part I hit it when it takes 30 seconds for the page to load, get bored and wonder off somewhere else.

I have a death grip on the wheel going over 17 driving anything. Let alone a $1M+ one of not many uber-car. I'd be leaving permanent fingerprints in the wheel.

It's way bigger than the one I just left AND you already have a lift.

Is it possible to use a four post lift to get a car (esp. a Miata) up in the air and off the wheels?

I'm asking because I have a use in mind...

OK, as some of you may suspect, this is not my garage. My 962 is of course in Shell livery.

4 post lifts are really good for a few things... stacking (like your pic), and trans/exhaust work. Not very useful for suspension work or anything wheels off.
