I've had my eye on this: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/4901376221.html

Kind of want to buy it for tracking 'n stuff (so I don't have to prep my NA for that).

Yeah. I don't know how bad/not bad that is, have close to no experience with rust.

Unless you're going to Lemons it, too much for California. AW11s are severely under appreciated, cheap, intact beaters come up all the time. Just keep an eye out.

I miss mine...

Speaking of Lemons - here's an entire thread on the Lemons forum dedicated to finished Lemons cars and Lemon-able cars.

http://forums.24hoursoflemons.com/viewforum.php?id=12

Also a build thread for a Merkur that apparently was available for free - because no engine/transmission. But it came with a bonus (in another car) 79 Mustang 4 cyl turbo and T4 trans.

My 2nd fav BMW body (after the 3.0 CSL). I loves Sport Wagens. And Germanic V8 sound. And since they never made an E39 M5 wagon (at least more than 1) this is somewhat in the neighborhood. So much want. No need. So somebody buy this, swap in a manual ($800 apparently plus that labor), let me drive it a lot.

Pinzgauer 710K. complete with locking portal axles, solar charging system, and a 3000W inverter.

I'm pretty sure this is the vehicle I'd want if the world ended.

I think this is actually a rear wheel drive as the CL of the engine is slightly aft of the CL of the rear wheels. Plus there's the giant ass Toronado transaxle hanging off the rear of the engine.

Sounds like a breeze to drive.

or a Courier... or even a regular Mazda pickup. They sold a bajillion of those and there's nothing particularly special about them.
