El Cerrito used sports car dealer from the early 60's pix

I'll take one of each.

Martin is now probably searching eBay for a Delorean and a Mr. Fusion Home Energy Reactor.

Can't get specific years but in order...
front row
1 Triumph TR2/3 (can't see the nose)
2 Jaguar E type Series 1
3 Sunbeam Alpine/Tiger (can't see emblems... Tiger would be pretty new when the photo came out)
4 Triumph TR4
5 AH 100-6 or 3000
6 Some Merican pig...
7 Can't see
8 Alfa
9 MGA

second row

1 Volvo PV444/544 (can't see well enough)
2 can't see
3 'nother 'Merican pig
4 Triumph TR4
5 Spridget
6 can't see
7 Triumph TR3
8 Triumph TR4
9 Jaguar 3.8 MkII Saloon

VW bus hiding in back on the left....

That's without cheating mind you...

Edit: And of all those, I've worked on all but the Vette's and the Alfa at some point.

That red TR-4 looks just like mine did.

I too have worked on all those models. Cept the Mk II, that was a restoration project my dad bought, and I never got to work on it.

The red car in front behind the tree is a Fiat 1200 Tranformabile. I had Fiat without the Interweb, but needed Google and Wiki to get specfic. Yay for me...

Here's another local early 60's used sports car lot - Ken Keegan in Los Gatos. I'd say "call the cars" but it's too easy.

These are coming from someone who collects vintage car images. See his Flickr sets Car Dealership 1 through 3 - http://www.flickr.com/photos/autohistorian/sets/

I need professional help, both automotive and mental. Seeing the Alfa Giulietta Sprint in the El Cerrito pix started me looking at pictures of them, then pricing them online. Unfortunately, the cost is within reach (unlike another Italian love of mine, the Ferrari 250 GTO).

Look at this, it's sex on wheels - especially the pre-1958 models like this.

Image

So I do need help.

Bill - How much of a royal PITA would a 1957 or so Giulietta Sprint be? Car looks dead simple mechanically. What breaks and how hard to get/how much for parts? How easy to work on?

Martin - I'm now dreaming of owning a mid-50s Italian car. Clearly I need counseling.

I think a fine example of the successor to that car, the Giulia Sprint, can be had for similar or less money.

imho, 60's > 50's alfas, but I can definately see your point. The 1961 restyle is probably the hardest to find(and hardest to find parts for). If it were me, Any well kept Giulietta Sprint or Spider from the 50's and sixties would make me happy.
